Similar to their release of Sorcery Saga, it seems like with their limited edition release of Hakuoki: Stories of the Shinzengumi, Aksys Games have chosen to forgo the usual assortment of artbooks, downloadable content and soundtracks, instead opting to do something more directly related and personalized to the title.
The US-based publisher have confirmed that their English localized release of Hakuoki: Stories of the Shinzengumi on the PlayStation 3 will feature four unique items inspired by the Hakuoki series and the culture of Japan. This pack will consist of a premium box made to look like Japanese lacquer, a comb and hair pin set evocative of the series, and a traditional Japanese love charm (omamori) with an embroidered Hakuoki “Kitan” stamp on the back.
While prices may vary depending on outlets, the Amazon.com listing which the publisher promoted has this edition for $59.99 USD, while the standard edition is only $39.99 USD – a $20.00 price difference.
Hakuoki: Stories of the Shinzengumi is set for release at an unspecified date in Spring 2014.
