The Idolm@ster 2 (PS3) DLC Set #18 – The DLC Releases Still Keep Coming – Raincoats, Race Idols and Tiger Accessories

-

While the Xbox360 DLC sets for The Idolm@ster 2 ended long ago, its Playstation 3 port that was initially released in October 2011 has continued to remain supported by regular DLC sets containing new costumes, songs and accessories for you to dress up your idols in and incorporate into your performance roster. While since the beginning of the year these sets are now being released once every two months rather than monthly, you can still expect a decent set of goodies for purchase even if they may be considered costly to some gamers.

For 1,500 yen apiece you can net yourself two EXTEND costumes including Pop Raindrop – a large green polka-dot raincoat with a pochette and frog motif or the Grand Prix Queen attire which looks like it comes out of a racing event. In addition, while neither STARRY or FLORAL costumes have made a return, they have included the Million Dreams LUXURY attire. All three of these costumes can be worn by all of the games main character cast.

EXTEND (11)

Four accessories have been included in this DLC set including the Tiger Nekomimi headhand, Tiger Tail body accessory, Fluffy Wristband hand accessory and the Stuffed Mouse leg accessory – evidently pointing at a tiger themed accessory set even if there is no corresponding EXTEND costume in this installment. In addition they have included a new song by the name of Positive! for all the girls to sing (See the above trailer for a sample), a free Seashell hair ornament and for those who purchase everything – a 765 Badge accessory.

All of these goodies are to be available for download from the 27th June 2013. As of yet there are no plans for an international release of The Idolm@ster 2, but if you reside in North America you can check out The Idolm@ster: Shiny Festa which has made its way onto the App Store for iOS devices.
