Sony Computer Entertainment Australia have today sent out a confirmation that from next Friday, The Last of Us will be available in stores across Australia exclusively to the Playstation 3 platform.
This announcement follows the launch of the game by Naughty Dog game designer Ricky Cambier during his visit to Australia where he also held a panel discussion on “The Making of a Blockbuster Game” at the Vivid Ideas Exchange in Sydney.
During his visit, he had this to say:
From the early ideas that inspired us through to all the final details, we’ve worked hard to bring to life the vision for The Last of Us. We’ve made sure it’s something we are proud to deliver to our fans. It’s really gratifying that people will finally be able to play the game, to get inside the story, and to experience the world we’ve created where a genuine feeling of survival is brought together with action gameplay.
Developed by Naughty Dog Inc., The Last of Us takes place twenty years after a pandemic has radically changed known civilization. The game is set to feature a blend of survival and action elements, and for those like my who love a good story – is supposed to have a gripping and evocative narrative, character-driven by the protagonists Joel and Ellie.
