Since 1995, the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) has annually been bringing us the latest announcements regarding video games and their respective consoles. 2013 is set to be no exception, and is set to be further enhanced by plans to unveil more information on the next generation of consoles – the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

While I had every hope of being able to attend this year, given that exam periods at Australian universities are run almost simultaneously with the E3 event it was not possible to be able to apply this year. That being said, I have a nice set-up from the comfort of my own home to monitor all the live streams and announcements made during the event and these will all be shared on this site as soon as possible.

As you may have noticed from a couple of earlier posts or even my posts from last years event – I will be making use of several headers to identify a posts relation to E3 as well as the content it holds. For convenience, I have included all of these below:

[E3 2013 Conference] – Announcement(s) made during one of the press conferences. The companies who currently have press conferences slated are Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft and Sony. Nintendo will not be holding a conference however any announcements made during their Nintendo Direct broadcast will be included under this header. Looking at the times of the conferences in relation to Australian timing, I will most probably be able to watch all but the Microsoft conference live.

[E3 2013 Announcement] – An announcement by a company for a newly announced title.

[E3 2013 News] – An general announcement made by a company for an already known title.

[E3 2013 Preview] – Article detailing information on a particular game.

[E3 2013 Trailer] – Any trailer released for a title

[E3 2013 Screenshots] – Any set of screenshots released for a title.

These can be merged on a case-by-case basis.
