Square Enix and their Eidos-Montreal studio have today announced that Deus Ex: Human Revolution: Director’s Cut is no longer exclusive to the Wii U platform. Instead it is also being extended to support the Playstation 3, Xbox360, PC and Mac platforms later this year.

Stéphane D’Astous | General Manager of Eidos-Montréal

After our Director’s Cut announcement we received an overwhelming response from the community asking us to bring this ultimate edition of HUMAN REVOLUTION to other platforms. We’re thrilled to accommodate that request. We can now say with pleasure, ‘You asked for this!

One of the new features of the game is that it offers a full slate of second screen features. As previously revealed this would be possible via the Wii U’s gamepad, but support has now been confirmed for Microsoft’s Smartglass and the Playstation Vita system for the XBox360 and Playstation 3 editions respectively which makes the touchscreen interface Adam Jensen’s primary neural hub enhancement.

Tongs’s Rescue mission and the entire Missing Link chapter have been integrated seamlessly into the narrative flow of the Director’s Cut. Other core augmentations include overhauled boss fights, refined game balance and combat, improved AI, over 8 hours of developer commentary, and striking visual improvements which make this edition the best looking and most immersive Deus Ex experience available.
