Sony Computer Entertainment have today confirmed that Media Molecule (The developers of the relatively long running LittleBigPlanet franchise) is set to release their next title, Tearaway, on the Playstation Vita from October 23, 2013. This release will be through both normal retail outlets and via the Playstation Network store. In this game, you journey through a vibrant, living papery world, with a plucky messenger who has a unique message to deliver — to YOU! The papery world of Tearaway unfolds in your hands, allowing you to reach up into the game with your god-like powers and help your new messenger friend, iota or atoi, complete this very special delivery.
A particular interest of mine in any release is packaging (As after playing a game it is always nice to have something physical to showcase on a bookshelf, game rack or whatever). Media molecule were not sure which of the two main characters, iota or atoi – to showcase on the front cover. Therefore to solve what they called an “impossible choice”, Tearaway will come with a reversible doubled sided inlay – examples of both which can be viewed below.
