Over the last few months I have brought you every trailer released from ATLUS USA in regards to their upcoming game Catherine, which is due out next week. These trailers have been more focused on the storyline and the love triangle between our protagonist Vincent, his long time girlfriend Katherine and his new “girlfriend” Catherine.
Despite this however, the gameplay isn’t about just choosing a girl for him, this isn’t a dating sim, but instead it is a game where Vincent must survive his dreams involving sheep and block towers in an attempt to Climb or Die! This is by far the best trailer in my opinion, as it manages to tie all the concepts in the game together (Storyline, Gameplay, Decision Making) alongside some more epic music that hopefully represents the quality of the music in the series (Produced by composer Shoji Meguro).
What more can be said? The game looks challenging and fast paced, the co-op looks like it will be interesting considering you would have to work together (or perhaps against?) each other to get through the multiplayer levels. Other then that, it is a game on relationships with an interesting puzzle element to it. The question is…. how well are all these elements implemented? We shall find out in under a week now.
Anyway, upon its release on the 26th July, I will hopefully receive it by the end of the month and have a review out for it quickly. For now, enjoy this trailer!
