[Sam Recommends] Support Team Shrubbery 1

I was hoping I would be able to call upon all my readers to help support a few friends of mine who are taking part in the Digital Media Video catergory of the Microsoft Imagine Cup, under the name Shrubbery Productions. For a bit of information on the Imagine Cup:

Imagine Cup is an annual competition sponsored and hosted by Microsoft Corp. which brings together young technologists worldwide to help resolve some of the world’s toughest challenges. The Imagine Cup comprises five major technology competitions, including Software Design, and four challenges (although the challenge number is updated annually). All Imagine Cup competitors create projects that address the Imagine Cup theme: “Imagine a world where technology helps solve the toughest problems”. Started in 2003, it has steadily grown in size, where in 2010 more than 325,000 competitors representing 100 countries and regions registered for the Imagine Cup with 400 finalists coming to the Worldwide finals in Warsaw, Poland.

If you would like to offer your assistance to my friends, could you guys please 5-Star their video which can be found AT THIS LINK RIGHT HERE. Their project outline is:

Description (provided by team): Hello! When given the instructions for this competition we took the one minute time limit to mean the style of an advertisement rather than a short film, which is what we based our film on. We chose to do it on humanizing the victims of aids, because AIDs, notably, has had some of the scariest advertising campaign comparing AIDs suffers to the Grim Reaper, a man with a gun and even Hitler. We tried to make it emotional as possible trying to capture the viewers’ attention using a metaphor of what it would be like to live with aids. A special thanks goes out to Amy Graham, the actor in this film, and Moby for giving us permission to use the song “Wait for me”.

So yes, as someone who is going is studying health, I do believe that this is an issue that needs to be focused on more, and this video is one step towards acceptance of those with AIDS and the need to do more research into it.

Also, as you can see from the first image, The Tatami Galaxy review is being released TONIGHT!
