While Arts Centre Melbourne may be closed for the next four weeks, artists from Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO) are still able to access Hamer Hall even if closed off to members of the public. Striving to “keep the music going” when there isn’t an audience to watch them in-person, MSO will be holding a live-streamed performance from 7pm tonight (local time) of Scheherazade.

You can access this stream by viewing the video below. You can read the video statement provided by Melbourne Symphony Orchestra below as well:

We will keep the music going.

Throughout the ban on public events, the MSO will continue to perform for you. Our mission is to share great music, even if you cannot join us in the concert hall.

Ensuring the wellbeing of MSO audiences, musicians and staff – including those integral members employed on casual and contract bases – is our priority. As a not-for-profit organisation, we are committed to ensuring the longevity and sustainability of the MSO and will continue to support workers and musicians through this uncertain period.
