As part of the 70th Australian International Movie Convention, delegates from Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the United States and Europe attended Jupiters Hotel & Casino a few nights ago for the AIDA (Australian Independent Distributors Association) Trailer Presentation and Award Ceremony.
During the evening, it was announced that The Arts Cinema at The Arts Centre Gold Coast had been named the Best Regional Cinema in Australia. This is the second time the venue has received the award, having also been deemed the Best Regional Cinema in Australia just last year.
Cinema Supervisor Mika Mantykivi was in attendance at the event, but was not even award that the Arts Cinema had even been nominated. “I am so proud of what we have to offer at the Arts Cinema. I have worked in the industry for over 20 years and it is an absolute privilege for the cinema to be recognised in this way.“says Mantykivi.
