The Inaugural Glitter Festival Is Now On at The Arts Centre Gold Coast

glitter-update

Until next Monday, The Arts Centre Gold Coast will be holding their inaugural Glitter Festival, which is set to be an annual event celebrating the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer, A-sexual, Pansexual+ community. Although this festival features a number of events targeted towards this community, all supporters regardless of personal orientation are invited to attend any and all events taking place.

The events on offer range from performances and cabaret to a number of free and out-of-theatre events. With something on every day, the full itinerary for the week-long event can be found via The Arts Centre Gold Coast’s official website. Those looking to attend many events may be interested in their “Triple Treat” ticketing package. Those who purchase a ticket to three or more cabaret shows will receive a 15% discount off the total price. Once again, check out their website for more information.

Many of the major out-of-centre events are taking place over the weekend. They are holding a Glitter Race Day at the Gold Coast Turf Club on Saturday, which will take place before many (but not all) of the evening events such as an 11PM screening of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. On Sunday they are holding both the 8AM “Pride Run” event and their Glitter Fair Day from 10AM onwards – alongside several film screenings.
