A collaboration between Sony brands, Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) and Sony Pictures Entertainment have announced a collaboration to introduce the Sony Pictures Core app (previously known as Bravia Core) to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 users.
What does this mean? The Sony Pictures Core app allows PlayStation gamers to purchase and rent up to 2,000 movies directly on their consoles, including exclusive early access to select Sony Pictures films. The first film available for early access is Gran Turismo. For some, this just means another underutilised app on their console. But…
PlayStation Plus Deluxe subscribers will receive access to a curated collection of 100 movies from the Sony Pictures library, available for on-demand streaming through the Sony Pictures Core app. This ad-free collection, which will undergo periodic updates, includes titles like Looper, Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV, Elysium, and Resident Evil Damnation. More benefits for PlayStation Plus members related to this collaboration are set to be announced in the future.
The Sony Pictures Core app is now available in 23 international markets including Australia. The app is located in the Media section on PS5 and is available for download from the PS Store for PS4 users.
