I am aware that I haven’t really covered figures much in the past, but with more and more high quality figures being released onto the market, it is hard to pass up the allure of covering them. While it is impractical to cover every figure that is announced, I hope I will be able to bring you articles on the ones that pertain to games or anime titles I have covered in articles or reviews.
Last year I did a review of the Japanese release of Tales of Xillia, a game now trademarked by Namco Bandai overseas and pending an announcement. The game was unique for the Tales series in which the game allowed you to choose one of two main characters to play as, each sharing the same storyline but when it deviates – you would follow the specific character you chose (Either Jude or Milla). Japanese figure producers Alter have recently announced and shown preview images for their upcoming 1/8 scale figure release of Milla Maxwell, the female main character of the game.
The figure comes in at approximately 210mm and is pre-painted. The sculptor for this figure is Rooney who going from their page on MyFigureCollection is relatively new to the figure scene. Milla’s character model was designed by Kousuke Fujishima and illustrated by Mutsumi Inomata.
It is due for release in September 2012 and will set you back around 7,800 yen depending on the retailer you purchase it from.
