Another upcoming season, and another isekai. HIDIVE has claimed another anime for their upcoming Fall streaming season, confirming it will stream the fantasy adventure anime Hero Without a Class: Who Even Needs Skills?! exclusively from October. The series adapts Shichio Kuzu’s light novels and manga, joining the platform as the first of several simulcast titles HIDIVE plans to unveil for next season.
Ahead of its weekly debut, episode one will receive a world-premiere screening at Anime NYC 2025, running 21 – 24 August in New York. Attendees will be the first to meet Arel – son of a Sword Princess and an Archmage – who, in a world ruled by divine job assignments, somehow ends up with neither class nor skills. Forced to rely on raw talent and a stubborn streak, Arel sets out to prove that grit can trump destiny.
Originally launched in 2018, the source material spans four light-novel volumes (illustrated by Yumehito Ueda) and nine manga volumes (illustrated by Akio Nanae). An English edition of the manga is available through One Peace Books. The anime brings together director Kaoru Yabana, writer Chabo Higurashi and Studio A-Cat. Voice talent includes Kensho Ono as Arel, Saori Hayami as Reiner and Sumire Uesaka as Lilia, with further casting to be announced.
