After a 15-year hiatus, the irreverent anime series Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt is set to make its return with a brand-new season. Kadokawa has confirmed that New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt will begin streaming on Prime Video from 9 July 2025. The announcement follows the release of a new key visual and main promotional video.
The upcoming series is produced by Studio TRIGGER, reuniting the creative team that contributed to its cult status.
In addition to its online release, the new series will have its world premiere at Anime Expo 2025 in Los Angeles. The main screening will take place on 4 July 2025 at 8:30 pm in the Peacock Theater as part of the convention’s main events, with director Hiroyuki Imaishi, creative producer Hiromi Wakabayashi, and designer Shigeto Koyama confirmed as special guests.
Anime Expo attendees will also have the chance to attend several related events, including a screening of the censored version of New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt on 5 July 2025 at 4:15 pm in Room 402AB, and a live drawing session featuring Studio TRIGGER staff on the same day at 6:30 pm in Room 408AB. An autograph session with the creative team will also take place, though tickets for this event have already sold out.
