The upcoming anime adaptation of Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube, based on the classic 1990s Weekly Shonen Jump manga by Shou Makura and Takeshi Okano, has unveiled its first full trailer and a new key visual. The announcement was made during a special livestream, where additional cast and staff details were also revealed.
The newly released key visual (to the left) features Nube standing determinedly at Domori Elementary School, holding a scripture in one hand while revealing his Demon’s Hand with the other. The expressions of his students and fellow teacher Ritsuko seek to convey an atmosphere of suspense, hinting at the supernatural dangers to come.
Meanwhile, the new trailer (above) highlights key characters, including protagonist Nube, his students seeking help against supernatural threats, and figures such as Tamamo and Yukime. The preview also showcases Nube wielding the power of his Demon’s Hand in battle.
Coinciding with the key art and trailer releases, additional members of the Japanese voice cast has been confirmed, with information on all available below:

Hiroshi Tateno (CV: Ryoko Shiraishi)
A student in Class 5-3 at Domori Elementary School, Hiroshi is a bright and energetic figure who often takes charge, though sometimes without thinking. Despite his blunt nature, he has a strong sense of compassion and always stands by his friends.

“I’m so happy to be playing Hiroshi Tateno in the modern adaptation of Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube! Thank you for your support! With Okiayu-san at the center of it all, there was a reassuring sense of stability. Even though I was nervous, I still felt like there was a warm atmosphere on set. I’m giving my all to portraying Hiroshi, who is a cool (hopefully? lol) character with a strong sense of justice. Kyoko Inaba (CV: Aya Suzaki)
A straightforward and reliable student in Class 5-3, Kyoko values friendship above all else. While she often clashes with Hiroshi due to her strong-willed nature, the two share a close bond.

Miki Hosokawa (CV: Tomoyo Kurosawa)
A curious and mischievous student in Class 5-3, Miki has a playful personality. She is free-spirited and outspoken but deeply caring towards those around her.

Katsuya Kimura (CV: Ryota Iwasaki)
Mature for his age, Katsuya has a strong attachment to his younger sister, whom he has looked after since childhood. His protective nature sometimes leads him into trouble.

Makoto Kurita (CV: Shiho Kokido)
One of the smaller students in Class 5-3, Makoto is shy and easily frightened but kind-hearted. He has a love for Sentai series and small animals.

“When I was a kid, whenever my father had Nube on the TV, I would sneak over to watch behind my parents’ back. Every time, my mother would say, ‘You’ll be too scared to sleep!’ to which I always said, ‘I’m fine, I’m fine!’ Being able to be a part of a series as beloved as Nube is like a dream. Maybe even the work of a yokai? I hope this modern version of Nube also becomes a memorable work that captures everyone’s hearts.”
Ritsuko Takahashi (CV: Aya Endo)
The homeroom teacher of Class 5-2 at Domori Elementary School, Ritsuko is an elegant and well-liked teacher with a strong sense of responsibility. However, she has a deep fear of ghosts and yokai, often reacting dramatically to Nube’s supernatural encounters.

“I had so much fun recording alongside my fellow castmates who had also once wanted to be one of Nube’s students. Of course, I was one of those kids too, but I didn’t even dream that someday I would be Nueno-sensei’s coworker. Like the character I play, Ritsuko Takahashi, I’m also not great with ghosts. I hope you all love the kind-hearted, hard-working Ritsuko-sensei!”
Yukime (CV: Ai Kakuma)
A mysterious girl who claims to be Nube’s fiancée. It appears that she may be a yokai herself.

“I have memories from elementary school when my classmates and I would ‘play Nube’ by spreading our hands to see who could make the best demon’s hand. To think I would get to meet Nueno-sensei someday as Yukime-chan, it’s a total shock! I hope everyone enjoys this all-new Nube!”
Kyosuke Tamamo (CV: Toshiyuki Morikawa)
A handsome young man living in Domori Town, Tamamo’s true nature is shrouded in mystery. He appears to be a being lurking in the human world to bring misfortune.
