Square Enix’s dark fantasy manga Übel Blatt, written by Etorouji Shiono, is set to debut as an anime series in January 2025. Ahead of its premiere, fans have been treated to several updates, including a third trailer, a new key visual, and cast announcements.
The recently released trailer, accompanied by the opening theme “Zainin” by GARNiDELiA, can be viewed below. The ending theme “Stella” by Hina Tachibana has also been confirmed.

The series, directed by Takashi Naoya and produced by SATELIGHT and Staple Entertainment, will adapt the manga’s gripping tale of revenge, betrayal, and redemption. The story follows Köinzell, formerly a swordsman named Ascheriit, who seeks vengeance against the Seven Heroes who betrayed him and claimed his glory. Übel Blatt is serialized in Square Enix’s Monthly Big Gangan, with 23 volumes currently available.
The anime will begin streaming exclusively on Prime Video on 11 January 2025 at 1:30am JST
