The all-female vocal and dance group PassCode (Consisting of Nao Minami, Kaede Takashima, Hinako Ogami, and Emily Arima) have announced their latest anime collaboration, providing the opening theme for season two of As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I’ll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World. The song, titled “SKILLAWAKE,” marks their second consecutive anime theme following their previous single, “WILLSHINE,” which served as the opening theme for SHY season two.
Based on the light novel series written by Miraijin A, As a Reincarnated Aristocrat follows Ars Louvent, a character reincarnated into another world with the unique “Appraisal” skill, which allows him to assess the hidden talents of others. Using this skill, Ars builds a powerful team, transforming a weak territory into the strongest one. Its second anime season is set to debut on 29 September 2024.
“SKILLAWAKE” will be available for streaming from 7 October, with a CD single release scheduled for December 18. The CD will feature a B-side song, with a Limited First Edition Blu-ray offering live performances from PassCode’s VERSUS PASSCODE 2024 Vol.2 concert, including the debut performance of “WILLSHINE.”
PassCode has been given the honor of performing the opening theme for As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I’ll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World Season 2. The entire team involved in the production read the original novel before creating the song, and it was so interesting that we all ended up reading it in one go.
