While the number of simuldubs they can offer will undoubtedly be affected by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, US anime publisher Funimation Entertainment have still been able to continue offering English dubs for newer episodes of My Hero Academia via their streaming service and Madman Entertainment’s Australian AnimeLab service. The English dub for Season 4 Episode 84 “Deku vs. Gentle Criminal” is now live to premium subscribers on the services.
Providing some insight into how the creative team and voice cast made this dub happen, Funimation has shared the below minute and a half video. This highlights how they have temporarily transitioned their dubbing process from the recording studio to homes, and how the recording process for this episode took place.
