In a Christmas Eve Announcement, Aniplex of America announced they had secured the license to the TV anime 22/7 (Nanabun no Nijyuuni), marking the third anniversary of the 22/7 idol project helmed by producer Yasushi Akimoto. The series will star members from the group, who have been involved in a range of projects including live performances, Youtube projects and TV appearances.
The anime, set to begin airing in Japan next month, features character designs from creators including Masayoshj Tanaka, Akio Watanabe, Kurehito Misaki and Yukiko Horiguchi – the latter of which serves as character designer for the series. Other creative team members include Takao Abo as Director, Satomi Tamura and Akira Takada as Chief Animation Director, music by Masato Nakayama and animation by A-1 Pictures.
Episodes will commence initially on FunimationNow beginning 11 January 2019. Episodes will start becoming available on CrunchyRoll a month later starting 10 February 2019.

One day, Miu Takigawa suddenly receives a letter notifying her that she has been chosen as a member of a brand-new project.
Half in disbelief, she heads over to the location stated on the letter. There, she finds seven other girls summoned there in the same fashion. The girls behold a giant, top-secret facility. They stand in bewilderment as they are told:
“You are going to debut for a major record label as an idol group.”
