Just in time for the holiday season, Australian anime publisher Madman Entertainment have announced that they will be releasing the Sailor Moon TV anime series on DVD in Australia and New Zealand beginning December 2015. This release date announcement follows the publisher having to indefinitely delay their launch of the series back in February.
Madman Entertainment plan to release all 200 episodes of Sailor Moon across 10 volumes, with volume one (containing episodes 1-24) to be available in December. In addition to a standard edition, Madman will be offering a Limited Edition version containing a Collector’s Box (Which will house volumes one and two) and booklet. Also on offer are two “Mass Market Exclusive” volumes, housing seven episodes each (1-7 and 8-14 respectively). Pricing will likely be confirmed when preorders open starting October 1st 2015.
The Australian release of Sailor Moon Season 1 will be based on the video masters used in the series’ European release. Despite not using the same masters as North America, they will be including both the original Japanese dub (w/ English subtitles) and the new uncut English dub.
