In addition to announcing their release of Nagi-Asu: A Lull in the Sea, Nippon Ichi Software America have also released their Premium Edition of My Little Monster (Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun | となりの怪物くん). Similar to a great majority of their anime releases, this series is only available with its original Japanese dub, and for the time being will only be available as part of a Premium Edition set.
With an MSRP of $69.99, this Premium Edition collection includes all 13-episodes across two Blu-ray and two DVD discs. It also comes with the standard artbox to store everything in, a 64-page full-colour hardcover art book and an assortment of on-disc extra content.
Based on the original romantic comedy manga by Robico, My Little Monster features animation by Brain’s Base, direction by Hiro Kaburagi, series composition by Noboru Takagi and character designs by Tomohiro Kishi. In terms of the Japanese voice cast, this series features Haruka Tomatsu as Shizuku Mizutani, Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Haru Yoshida, Atsumi Tanezaki as Asako Natsume, Ryota Osaka as Sohei Sasahara, Takuma Terashima as Kenji Yamaguchi and Kana Hanazawa as Chizuru Ohshima.
Official Synopsis for My Little Monster
Shizuku Mizutani, who has no interest in anything but her studies, delivers worksheets to Haru Yoshida, a boy known for being a violent and uncontrollable monster. Though he hasn’t been to school since the infamous bloodshed he caused on the first day of classes, during their fateful encounter he unexpectedly becomes attached to Shizuku and returns to school. Amid the fights with upperclassmen and all kinds of antics that follow, the two teach each other what it means to care for others.
