While some budget conscious anime fans may want to wait until next month for the slightly cheaper dual-language DVD release of the series, Nippon Ichi Software America have confirmed that their pricey Premium Edition of A Lull in the Sea (Nagi no Asukara – 凪のあすから) is now available to purchase.
Priced with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $179.99, this edition contains all 26-episodes of A Lull in the Sea across three Blu-ray discs. Each episode is available with both the original Japanese dub and a newly commissioned English Dub. This is in addition to a 76-page full colour hardcover art book, a two-CD soundtrack and a handful of on-disc extras.
Two half-season DVD collections of A Lull in the Sea will be available in North America starting next month, providing another option for fans of the series to enjoy this anime with a lower price point.
A Lull in the Sea – Official Synopsis
Long ago, humans lived in the sea. However, some humans defied the Sea God and moved to the land, creating the division that now exists between Shioshishio, the Sea Village, and Oshiooshi, the village of the land. Now, four middle school students from the Sea Village, Manaka Mukaido, Hikari Sakishima, Chisaki Hiradaira, and Kaname Isaki must attend Mihama Middle School on the land. While getting used to their new lives, these four and their new friend from the land, Tsumugu Kihara, learn how true bonds of love and friendship can overcome any separation.
