Update: Links to Animelab have been updated.

Australian anime publisher Madman Entertainment have today confirmed that Ghost in the Shell: Arise – Alternative Architecture is now available for official and legal streaming via their AnimeLab video on demand service.

Currently airing in Japan as part of the more recent anime season, AnimeLab currently lists six episodes available for those in Australia and New Zealand to watch at no charge. These episodes are only subbed however, and there is no indication of if or when an English dub / home video release will be produced for this series. New episodes are set to go live every Monday… so this may come as some small blessing for all those who hate Monday’s.

Ghost in the Shell: Arise – Alternative Architecture | Synopsis

In this highly anticipated prequel set in the year after the fourth World War, cyborg and hacker Motoko Kusanagi finds herself wrapped up in the investigation of a devastating bombing. But she’s not the only one looking for answers—as she delves deeper into the mystery of who is behind the attack, a specialized team unlike any before begins to take shape.
