Claiming that they are “always ecstatic to bring a variation of special guests to the convention each year”, the SMASH! Sydney Manga and Anime Show team have confirmed that anime industry figure Danny Choo will be attending their 2015 festivities. He will be joining other currently announced guests including Noriaki Sugiyama (Naruto, Fate/Stay Night) and celebrity cosplayers Reika and KANAME☆.
Best known as the CEO of Culture Japan, Danny Choo focuses on sharing and making Japanese culture accessible to the world through various media, contents and products — all with the help of his mascot character ‘Mirai Suenaga’. This includes his own television show called ‘Culture Japan’ and long-standing website Dannychoo.com – which I have been a reader of for many years now.

In previous years, we’ve hosted a variation of guests including film directors, celebrity cosplayers and voice-actors. It’s not often that we have an industry talent like Mr Choo who can connect with like-minded fans on another level. This is a fantastic opportunity for attendees to get a rare insight into the Japanese pop-culture industry from a different perspective.
SMASH! Sydney Manga and Anime Show 2015 is set to take place on August 8th and th at Rosehill Gardens. Tickets can now be purchased, with prices ranging from $35 to $55.
