Although not all of this news should come as a surprise to everyone, North American anime publisher FUNimation Entertainment have confirmed which series will be receiving their ‘Broadcast Dub’ treatment during the Spring 2015 simulcast season. Comparable to their Winter 2015 season, FUNimation Entertainment will be airing ten series to completion in 1080p each – commercial-free for those who are subscibers to their All-AccessPass service.

FUNimation Broadcast Dubs are select series dubbed in English using broadcast/simulcast materials from Japan only a few weeks after first airing. This allows dub fans to experience these select shows as soon as possible and well before home video release. The English dub version of the home video release will be produced using the final Blu-ray/DVD materials from Japan however, and will therefore be different than the Broadcast dub. That being said, Funimation have yet to rule out the possibility of Broadcast Dub’s becoming extra content in their upcoming DVD/Blu-ray releases.

These broadcast dubs will be aired in two phases, the first beginning in the coming days and the second approximately four weeks afterwards. Information on each title can be found in the schedule below:

Phase 1

  • High School DxD BorN (Saturdays at 1:00 pm ET, beginning May 2)
  • Assassination Classroom (Wednesdays at 8:00 pm ET, beginning May 13)
  • Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign (Wednesdays at 8:30 pm ET, beginning May 13)
  • Blood Blockade Battlefront (Wednesdays at 9:00 pm ET, beginning May 13)
  • Ninja Slayer (Thursdays at 10:00 am ET, beginning May 21)

Phase 2

  • Ultimate Otaku Teacher (Saturdays at 7:00 am ET, date TBA)
