For fans of the Sword Art Online anime adaptation and unlike myself have not hit their monthly bandwidth caps, I hope you enjoyed the opportunity to enjoy Sword Art Online EXTRA EDITION this morning. However, to some fans this episode may have paled in comparison to what appeared at the episodes conclusion…. that Sword Art Online II has been confirmed for release in Japan sometime in 2014.
Going from the chronology of events depicted in Reki Kawahara’s original light novel series, the storyline will move from ALfheim Online to the new virtual world of Gun Gale Online. This new VRMMOFPS is the setting for the Phantom Bullet Arc and as the title suggests involves the use of guns as weapons.
I only recently watched Sword Art Online and really enjoyed it. It had some issues, and it wasn’t quite the MMO Anime I was hoping for, but it was fun to watch and that’s all that really matters. Though I haven’t seen EXTRA EDITION yet I eagerly await the second season.
