Last weekend wasn’t just about anime acquisition announcements in Australia, with North American anime publisher Sentai Filmworks picking themselves up an older title to complement their simulcast acquisitions – Nadia, Secret of Blue Water.
This is a 39 episode classic from the 90’s features production by GAINAX, and for the first time will be available in high definition.The series is directed by Hideaki Anno (Neon Genesis Evangelion, His and Her Circumstances) and features character designs by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (Royal Space Force ~ The Wings of Honnêamise) with sound direction by Katsunori Shimizu (Tegami Bachi: Letter Bee) and music by Shiro Sagisu (Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi).
While the company haven’t even committed themselves to a 2014 release date just yet, they have claimed it will be released with dual audio on both DVD and Blu-ray, with a release soon to come through digital outlets.
