In another announcement made during the currently ongoing Anime Expo 2013, North American anime publisher Sentai Filmworks confirmed their acquisition of the rights to the second season of Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East which is set to begin airing in japan from tomorrow. The 13 episode follow up features the return of Chief Director Osamu Yamasaki (Hakuoki: Dawn of the Shinsengumi), Director Mitsue Yamasaki, Character Designer Hiromi Kato (Needless), Sound Director Hozumi Goda (Vampire Knight) with music by Hitomi Kuroishi (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion).
Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East is set through digital channels later this month, with a home video release also to follow in 2014.
