Sentai Filmworks Announce Plans to Release This Boy Caught a Merman

-

During their Anime Central panel this weekend, North American anime publisher Sentai Filmworks took to the stage to announce their acquisition and plans to release This Boy Caught a Merman, also known as Kono Danshi, Ningyo Hiroimashita (この男子、人魚ひろいました。). This is the second installment in the Kono Danshi project by independent animator Soubi Yamamoto and CoMix Wave Films (Whom are also behind many of the titles by Makoto Shinkai).

The series follows a boy by the name of Shima Kawauchi (Voiced by Yuki Kaji), who one day after his grandfather passes away heads down to the beach to let out his grief in peace.  Only… he slips and gets carried away by the water. Just so happens that he is rescued by a merman by the name of Isaki (Voiced by Hikaru Midorikawa).
