Little Tidbits of Information on Madman's Release of Rozen Maiden: Ouvertüre 1Announced alongside Cardcaptor Sakura in last months Madman Newsletter, Madman Entertainment also announced that they had acquired the license to Rozen Maiden: Ouvertüre which was recently dubbed into English by Sentai Filmworks. The OVA series is not a sequel but a prequel to the original (and to this date incomplete) anime series which shows a past battle where Shinku first meets Suigintou. The release will be exclusively on DVD and will come in at a total of 50 minutes over two episodes. The release will encompass both the original Japanese dub and more recently produced English dubbing.

More gothic adventures await
Journey back to 19th century London and the birth of the Rozen Maidens to witness the cruel and tragic origin of Rozen’s first doll, and how, even when left abandoned and unfinished, she still fought her own way to the Rosa Mystica and the Alice Game! But leave what you think you know behind, for this is Suigintou’s story, and what she has to say may surprise you.

The main series is based off the famed manga authors Peach-Pit however while the two seasons remained loosely faithful to the original material, this is an anime exclusive storyline. The manga series the series is based on is now available through Madman Entertainment. Pricing is not available however this information, will be made available when pre-orders open on the 1st May 2012.
