Siren Visual's Release of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai Still Slated for a March Release 1

Back in December 2011, Australian anime distributor Siren Visual announced that they had acquired the rights to Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai, the sequel to Geneon’s When They Cry (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni) which was released in North America a few years ago and in Australia last year. While it was initially slated for a March 2012 release, some people on their Facebook page have voiced concerns that it might have been delayed for some reason as it is not listed on their website as of yet. Well, if you are worried – if you little to worry about just yet as according to the Gryphon Entertainment website (The wholesale distributor of Siren Visual works), the series is still due for release on the 22nd March 2012 along with their (almost) obligatory slipcase over two DVD’s (Evidently the cover art on the site seems to be a placeholder image).

If things change between now and March, I shall post more information on The Otaku’s Study. Until then, look forward to the conclusion to one of Ryukishi07’s most well known mystery series.
