Wuthering Waves is preparing for its next big chapter. Kuro Games has revealed the first details of Version 3.8, “Lilies in a Dying Dream”, which launches on 12 November 2026 and begins setting up the world and story of Version 4.0, with more on that update to come. The main story continues with Chapter IV Act V, A Bouquet for Tomorrow. Version 3.8 also adds a new Resonator, Lily, along with a new weapon called Lullaby. Hiyuki is getting a Deluxe Outfit, Lune Noire, and a new accessory, Flaming Sakura.
New challenges and events are also on the way. Tactical Hologram: Calamity Effigy is a new Tactical Hologram challenge, while Dreamfield Odyssey is the update’s combat event. Leisure events include Second Coming of Solaris: Unwritten Dreams, Lahai-Roi Blocks: Turnabout and Lollo Campaign: Groundwork. Players can also log in for Gifts of Bygone Dreams, a seven-day login event, and Whither the Wind, a limited-time login event.
Several quality-of-life improvements are also included. Rover’s Resonance Conversion page has been redesigned with a simpler interface, and after converting, Rover will automatically switch to the Echo Set equipped for that Resonance Attribute, as Echo Sets can now be assigned to each attribute separately. A new Material Locator button in the Guidebook’s Material Collection page and the Resonator Ascension Planner lets players teleport to unlocked challenges that drop the materials they need, or start those challenges straight away. A new Blitz Mode also lets players restart a material collection challenge immediately after claiming rewards, without reloading. Resonator animations have been improved too, with a focus on turning in place, movement transitions and reactions to being hit in combat.
On PC, new launcher options will let players choose between Full Resources and Basic Resources, and an upgraded Resource Cleanup feature will help free up storage space. These features are being rolled out gradually as part of a limited test, with more details to be shared later. On supported consoles, a new Graphics Quality setting lets players choose between Performance and Quality modes, although this is not currently available on PS5 or Xbox Series S. PS5 Pro players can also turn on PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) to upscale the image to up to 4K.
