The next stop for the Dark Gathering crew looks like a dangerous one. A third horror visual has been revealed for Season 2 of the anime, which is set to air in 2027, and it centres on T Tunnel, a location nicknamed the “Ghost Road”.
The tunnel is known for frequent fatal accidents and a large number of reported ghost sightings. The new visual shows numerous handprints and spirits lurking inside the tunnel, hinting at what Yayoi and her companions might encounter there from inside their vehicle.
Dark Gathering is based on the horror manga by Kenichi Kondo. Its story follows Keitaro Gentoga, a university student with strong spiritual sensitivity who has been living as a recluse. He meets Yayoi Hozuki, a mysterious and highly gifted girl searching for the soul of her late mother, which was taken by an evil spirit. Together with Keitaro’s childhood friend Eiko Hozuki, they form an alliance to pursue their own goals, fighting evil spirits across Japan. The series’ catchphrase is “Let’s go! Suto!”
