ASYLUM has arrived on consoles just in time for Halloween. Publisher SOEDESCO and developer Senscape have released the psychological horror game on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch, in both digital and physical editions. To mark the launch, the Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X|S digital editions are 20% off.
The game first released on PC via Steam, and is set inside the Hanwell Mental Institute, where players explore the building and uncover the secrets hidden within its walls. Its supernatural horror draws on Lovecraftian fiction and classic horror cinema, while the soundtrack takes inspiration from 1980s horror films and the work of John Carpenter.
Rather than relying on shocks, ASYLUM proclaims to focus on suspense and atmosphere, with only a few carefully placed jump scares. Its puzzles reward careful observation and exploration, and the game runs for around 10 hours, with hidden mysteries and secrets to find along the way.
