Co-Op Cheating Simulator Finals Week Out Now On Steam

Studying is not on the syllabus in Finals Week. The co-op cheating simulator for one to four players is out now on Steam, priced at $7.99 USD or local equivalent with a launch discount for the first two weeks.

Set in a 1990s-style school, the game has players and up to three friends trying to get through 12 increasingly difficult exams without doing any actual studying. Answers can be copied from classmates, found in textbooks scattered around the school or looked up online, then passed between players via text messages or walkie-talkies. Other tools include binoculars, paper balls and a tranquilliser blowgun, and answers can be written almost anywhere, from paper and desks to walls and even other players’ faces. Proximity voice chat helps with coordination, though the teacher can hear it too.

Standing in the way is the Professor, who patrols the classroom, listens for suspicious conversations and throws erasers with alarming accuracy. He becomes more suspicious with each exam, tightening the rules and forcing players to change their approach. Getting caught leads to punishments that make cheating even harder, with players likely to be gagged, tied up, smacked or knocked out along the way.

Outside of exams, the school can be explored for secret passages and other ways to gain an advantage. Players can also hang out in the hall, play basketball, cause trouble and unlock new outfits, hairstyles and colours to customise their character.
