The music of Hades and Hades II has travelled from London’s Royal Festival Hall to a screen anyone can watch. Game Music Festival and Supergiant Games have released Ballads of the Underworld, a film of their official concert, free on YouTube.
The concert took place on 27 June 2026 and put the games’ vocal music at the centre of the programme. Darren Korb and Ashley Barrett performed alongside Judy Alice Lee, Erin Yvette and Colin Ryan, with Austin Wintory conducting the London Mozart Players. Arrangements made for Game Music Festival brought the songs from Zagreus and Melinoë’s journeys into the concert hall; the recording now gives those performances an audience well beyond London.
The release follows another filmed Game Music Festival collaboration from this year. The Infernal Symphony, its official Diablo 30th anniversary concert made with Blizzard Entertainment, was performed at the same venue on 6 June 2026. Marek Wroniszewski conducted the London Mozart Players and Hertfordshire Chorus in arrangements by Ignacy Wojciechowski, with Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred soloists among the performers. The festival says that concert has also received an audio-visual recording release.
