GIANTS Software has revealed the Beans & Alpacas Expansion for Farming Simulator 25, introducing a new South American farming region alongside coffee cultivation, additional livestock, production chains and more than 25 new machines.
The expansion takes players to Catuaí, a warm and fertile region defined by rolling hills, lower mountain slopes and dense vegetation. Its architecture draws inspiration from Brazil, with narrow roads, colourful rural buildings and plantations spread throughout the landscape. A winding river reminiscent of the Amazon also passes through the region, running alongside stilt houses, shops and depots.
Coffee will serve as one of Catuaí’s major crops. Players can begin planting coffee beans in September before harvesting the resulting red coffee cherries in May. Crops and animal products can also be incorporated into new production chains, providing additional ways to generate income. Alpacas join the game as a new source of wool and can be led on a leash to improve their happiness. Brahman cows will also be available for players looking to expand their livestock operations.
Catuaí will feature what GIANTS Software describes as a “record number of new buildings and decorations”. These include six houses with complete interiors and dozens of placeable objects designed specifically for the region. Players exploring the landscape will also be able to uncover dinosaur bones and add them to a museum collection.
More than two dozen machines will be added from manufacturers including Case IH, Ford, John Deere, KUHN, Mercedes-Benz Trucks, New Holland, Oxbo, Stara and Valtra. Colombo Industries will make its Farming Simulator debut, supplying equipment suited to Catuaí’s crops and farming conditions.
Other changes include updated sugarcane foliage and effects, improved animations and visual effects for ground tools, and additional detail during fieldwork. GIANTS Software plans to reveal further features ahead of the expansion’s release.
Farming Simulator 25 is currently available for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Beans & Alpacas will launch on 27 October, with a separate edition including the base game also to be made available.
