Maximum Entertainment and developer Polychroma Games have announced Afterimages, a new downloadable content expansion for the narrative adventure Until Then. The Afterimages DLC will launch on 18 June 2026 for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X|S. A physical edition of Until Then will follow on 3 September 2026, including both the base game and Afterimages DLC.
Afterimages continues the stories of Sofia and Mark across two new chapters, with a focus on grief, memory and the process of moving forward after loss. Sofia returns home and is forced to face memories she once left behind, while Mark encounters both a new lover and an old friend. Their separate stories explore how each character carries absence while trying to continue with life.
The DLC will introduce new gameplay moments within Until Then’s story driven structure. These include interactive activities such as tarot reading and baking minigames, as well as expanded in-game phone features including dating apps and video platforms. Players will also reconnect with familiar characters from Until Then while meeting new faces across the expansion’s two narrative chapters.
