Diablo Immortal To Host StarCraft Crossover Event Starting This Week

The worlds of Sanctuary and the Koprulu Sector are set to collide as Blizzard Entertainment prepares to launch a StarCraft crossover event within Diablo Immortal. Running from 13 May to 10 June 2026, this limited-time collaboration introduces a variety of themed activities, boss encounters, and cosmetic rewards inspired by the real-time strategy series.

Central to the crossover is the Aeon of Stars event, which spans four weeks of reward cycles. During this time, players can participate in the Dark Ascension mode. This feature includes a four player boss fight where participants face off against reimagined StarCraft units, specifically the Tal’Darim Templar and the Ascended Archon. Those looking for Zerg themed rewards can also access a new Phantom Market, which features a cosmetic set based on the Queen of Blades.

The infestation spreads to the game’s dungeon systems through the introduction of Infested Rifts. These are mutated versions of Elder Rifts that feature Zerg forces and a Feral Hydralisk boss encounter. Completing these specific rifts grants players the opportunity to earn exclusive Legendary weapons that come equipped with unique affixes.

New equipment and companions also reflect the StarCraft aesthetic. A new Legendary Gem titled Baneboil allows players to trigger corrosive explosions against enemies. Additionally, players can obtain a Zergling skin for their familiars. While this skin is active, portable skills can be utilized without a cooldown, allowing for more frequent use of these abilities in combat.

A specialized version of Conqueror Mode will be available during the event period, incorporating shrines tied to the three main StarCraft factions. Before a match, players choose a faction, ensuring that only the corresponding power-up orbs appear for them. The Terran shrine offers a Stim Pack that increases attack and movement speed by 30 percent for 8 seconds. The Zerg shrine adds poison projectiles to attacks to deal damage over time, and the Protoss shrine provides a protective shield to absorb incoming damage.
