Paramount and Activision have announced that the currently-in-production live action movie based on the Call of Duty video game franchise is currently slated to arrive in cinemas on 1 July 2028 AEST (or 30 June 2028 depending on where in the world you are).
The film is being directed by Peter Berg, who is also co-writing the script alongside Taylor Sheridan. The production team includes Berg, Sheridan, David Glasser, and Rob Kostich. While Paramount and Activision are handling the development and production of the film, Paramount will manage its global distribution.
The creative team aims to deliver a film to “thrill its massive global fan base by delivering on the hallmarks of what fans love about the iconic series, while boldly expanding”.
