Shochiku Anime has revealed a cross-promotional project titled Kocha Agasawa Anime Year to commemorate the 2026 adaptations of two manga series by the same author. The initiative links the recently concluded first season of You and I Are Polar Opposites with the upcoming premiere of The Ramparts of Ice. Central to this celebration is a special illustration depicting a baton pass between the protagonists of the two series, Suzuki and Koyuki Hikawa. You can view this illustration to the left.
In addition to the artwork, two collaboration trailers have been released where characters from each series introduce the other. Suzuki, the energetic lead from You and I Are Polar Opposites, provides an overview of the world and characters in the upcoming The Ramparts of Ice anime (above). Conversely, Koyuki Hikawa offers a summary of the highlights from You and I Are Polar Opposites for new viewers (below).
Following the conclusion of its first season in March, You and I Are Polar Opposites is confirmed to return for a second season in July 2026. The creative team includes director Takayoshi Nagatomo and series composer Teruko Utsumi. Sayumi Suzushiro voices Suzuki, while Shogo Sakata provides the voice for Tani. This second season will follow the April launch of The Ramparts of Ice.
