Colombian development studio Team Vultures and publisher Firesquid Games have confirmed that their upcoming project, Vultures: Scavengers of Death, will be released on 28 April 2026. This tactical turn-based survival horror game has spent four years in development and is set to debut on PC via Steam. This new game aims to draw the aesthetic and mechanical inspiration PlayStation 1 era classics like Resident Evil and Parasite Eve, placing players in a bio-hazard disaster zone known as Salento Valley.
The gameplay involves navigating a ruined city as one of two distinct operatives, Leopoldo or Amber. Leopoldo is a disciplined character who utilizes physical strength to move or jump over objects within the environment. Conversely, Amber is a tactical specialist equipped with a grappling gun for traversal and enemy positioning control. Players are required to customise their loadouts before embarking on missions, which primarily involve locating and extracting specific targets.

Survival in Salento Valley relies on careful resource management, as health packs and ammunition are limited. The game employs a turn-based combat system where players must make precise tactical decisions, such as targeting vital spots or disabling an opponent’s limbs to slow their progress. Stealth is also presented as a viable strategy for those who prefer to avoid direct confrontation with the various mutants and abominations found throughout the ruins.
Exploration is a central component of the experience, requiring players to scavenge for weapons, keys, and clues. The arsenal includes a variety of tools ranging from pistols and rifles to melee options like katanas and knives. Players will also need to recover notes and relics to piece together information regarding a potential cure while overcoming obstacles such as security codes and environmental barriers. Success depends on the ability to navigate the city’s dark halls and extract the objective while managing the constant threat of death.
