Developer Massive Monster has announced that a significant expansion for Cult of the Lamb, titled Woolhaven, is scheduled for release on 22 January 2026. This content update has been in development for the past two years and will be available for the base game across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
The narrative of Woolhaven continues from the conclusion of the main storyline. Players will respond to a summons from a forgotten deity, requiring travel to a distant mountain region known as Woolhaven, described as the ancestral home of the Lambs. The expansion introduces a new antagonist, Yngya, the God of Winter. This entity brings frost and snow to the game world, introducing new survival challenges. Players will need to manage the temperature, hydration and food supplies of their flock more carefully under these harsher conditions.
In terms of gameplay mechanics, the update brings a suite of additions including new dungeons, buildings, weapons and quests. A significant new system being introduced is ranching. This feature allows players to tame and ride various beasts found in the world. The developers have noted that these creatures can also be harvested for food if resources become scarce.
