Marvelous Europe has released the first major expansion for dark sci fi action game Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion, with Into the Abyss now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2. The base game originally launched on 5 September 2025 across all platforms.
Unlike the previous free updates, this is a paid update, with Into the Abyss priced at €14.99 and can also be accessed as part of the Digital Deluxe and Super Digital Deluxe editions. Launching alongside the expansion is a free update that introduces further bug fixes and gameplay improvements. Additional paid DLC focused on customisation and communication has also gone live.
The expansion sends Outers to a new region known as Survey Zone: Locus Initi, an area that players may already recognise as the home of the Genesis Tree, a huge Femtree visible from other parts of the game that was previously off limits. This new storyline is set outside the main narrative and sees the Reclaimer Blossom dispatching players to investigate an alien environment filled with Femto enhanced enemies. Beyond surviving the hostile wildlife of Locus Initi, players can infiltrate an Axiom base hidden within the Genesis Tree. Completing its challenges offers access to fresh rewards, including new pieces of powerful gear.
Into the Abyss is accompanied by two new cosmetic DLC packs:
- Avatar Customisation Pack 5: which introduces four new face accessories, for €2.49
- Stamp Set: which adds communication stamps based on the Reclaimers and Sovereign Axiom, for €3.99
