Kojima Productions and Line Mileage have announced Death Stranding: Mosquito, an animated film project developed as a Hollywood co-production with the Japan based studio, ABC Animation. The feature is directed by Hiroshi Miyamoto of ABC Animation and written by Aaron Guzikowski, whose screenwriting credits include Raised by Wolves and Prisoners. A short teaser has been released to mark the reveal.
Positioned as part of a broader expansion of the Death Stranding franchise, Mosquito is planned to tell an original story set within the surreal, emotionally charged world created by Hideo Kojima.
Kojima Productions also released Beyond the Strand, a 10th anniversary celebration event hosted by Hideo Kojima that featured special guests and provided a look ahead at future projects.
