RedSaw Games and Logoi Games have announced that their upcoming farming simulation title Doloc Town will enter Early Access on 8 May 2025. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, the game aspires to blend elements from Stardew Valley, Fallout, and Terraria, offering players a mix of farming, exploration, crafting, and light combat mechanics within a world that one might not typically associate with the ‘cozy’ experience.
Players are invited to explore a fractured world where they can cultivate crops, befriend locals, and work to restore civilisation amid a backdrop of environmental ruin. The Early Access version will include approximately 20 hours of main story content, in addition to numerous side quests set across two regions—Rivervalley and the Wetland.
In Doloc Town, farming forms the foundation of the gameplay loop. Players start with minimal resources and slowly build up their homestead through crop cultivation, crafting, cooking, and fishing. As they expand their farms, they must contend with environmental hazards such as acid rain and extreme weather, which add a layer of complexity to farm management.
The game also emphasises exploration and restoration, encouraging players to uncover the world’s history through ruined locations and interactions with local townsfolk. These characters not only offer supplies and quests but also help reveal the backstory of the decaying landscape.
Players can venture into the wilderness to scavenge for materials and battle hostile creatures using customisable drone companions. The game supports different combat styles, from fast-paced action to more relaxed exploration.
Yao Fan, producer at RedSaw Games, commented on the decision to move into Early Access:
The positive feedback from our demo has been incredible, and we’re excited to take the next step with Early Access. We can’t wait to build Doloc Town together with our community, and Early Access is just the beginning.
