Gaming Factory, in collaboration with 4Divinity, has announced that JDM: Japanese Drift Master will officially launch on 26 March 2025 for Steam, GoG, and the Epic Games Store. After several years in development, this simcade racing game will allow players to explore a fictional Japanese prefecture, Guntama, with hopes of offering players over 250 km of roads and iconic locations such as Himeji Castle and Daikoku-inspired parking areas.
The game aims to provide a mix of open-world exploration, drifting-focused gameplay, and narrative-driven progression. Players will follow the story of Touma, a Polish driver aspiring to make his mark in Japan’s street racing scene, with in-game events and a manga-style comic enhancing the storytelling experience.
JDM: Japanese Drift Master features licensed cars from brands such as Nissan, Mazda, and Subaru, and the ability to tailor them to your liking and playstyle through mechanical and visual customisation options. Players can modify vehicles to suit their preferences, whether aiming for grip, drift, or balanced performance.
The game’s “simcade” approach combines realistic driving physics with accessible gameplay mechanics/ Players using steering wheels, controllers, or keyboards can expect a tailored experience, with robust keybinding options and support for various sim-driving hardware available at launch.
Before the full release, players can try the free demo-prologue, JDM: Rise of the Scorpion, which provides an early look at the game’s dynamic racing, physics, licensed vehicles, and narrative elements. The demo can now be downloaded for PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG.
