Marking the 30th anniversary of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s PlayStation brand, Polyphony Digital have announced the upcoming release of My First Gran Turismo, a free-to-play experience designed to introduce new players to the world of motorsports. Available through the PlayStation Store starting 6 December, this special release aims to evoke the spirit of the original Gran Turismo, seeking to offer an accessible yet immersive racing experience for players of all ages and skill levels.
My First Gran Turismo aims to deliver a personal and intuitive driving journey. Players can learn essential skills such as cornering, braking, and acceleration, building confidence as they progress. The experience includes three Race Events, three Time Trials, and three Music Rally stages, along with a set of License Tests. These features allow players to develop their abilities while enjoying the simple thrill of driving.
The game includes 18 unique cars, each with distinct characteristics, and nostalgic tracks from the Gran Turismo series, including Kyoto Driving Park, Deep Forest Raceway, and Trial Mountain Circuit. Full PlayStation VR2 support also pits you in the drivers seat for every race.
