Super Evil Megacorp Unveils Blood Line: A Rebel Moon Game

Super Evil Megacorp has officially revealed Blood Line: A Rebel Moon Game, a mobile co-op action game set in Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon universe. This new title seeks to bring a unique story to the Rebel Moon world, allowing players to experience cooperative combat missions alone or with friends. A new trailer showcasing the game’s intense action is available to watch to the left.

Blood Line: A Rebel Moon Game is the result of a collaboration between Super Evil Megacorp and Netflix Games, combining the mobile game developer’s experience with co-op action gameplay with the worldbuilding of Snyder’s Rebel Moon films. The game will introduce new characters and stories within the universe, focusing on themes of rebellion, fellowship, and betrayal.

The game is a mission-based, top-down, four-player co-op action title designed for mobile devices. Players will embark on missions either solo or in teams of up to four, utilising a selection of character classes, each with unique abilities. These roles, including tank, healer, and DPS, can be customized with various appearance, gear, and progression options. Players will need to work together and synergize to complete quests that push forward the story of rebellion on the warrior planet Krypt.

The combat aims to be visceral and intense, with both melee and ranged elements. The game will also reflect the power and threat of the tyrannical Motherworld, packing in challenging enemies to keep the experience hopefully fresh and engaging.

Players eager to join the resistance early can sign up for the closed beta, with everyone who signs up receiving a unique skin for each character class.

Rebel Moon was a 2023 space opera firm which initially received a limited theatrical release before being rolled out on Netflix. Unfortunately the work wasn’t received too highly by critics, receiving a 22% on Rotten Tomatoes as of writing. A Part 2 was released this year. But is the setting best set up for the video game format? Time will tell.
